Programme Highlights
- Assembly & Theme Introduction – Primary Teachers welcomed everyone and introduced the theme “No to Junk Food”.
- Interactive Talk – Teachers spoke on health risks of excess sugar, salt, trans‑fat and low‑nutrient foods (obesity, diabetes, poor concentration).
- Student Skits – Groups from classes VII‑IX performed short “Junk vs Healthy” skits.
- Break & Healthy Snacks – Fresh fruit, sprout chaat and millet biscuits served (no chips or cool drinks).
- Quiz & Pledge – Quick quiz on food labels, nutrition facts and myths; students took the “I will choose healthy food” pledge.
- Poster Competition – Students displayed posters made in art class showing “Say No to Junk Food”.
Key Outcomes
- Students could identify common junk foods and their health impacts.
- 78 % of participants reported intention to reduce chips, soda, and candy consumption
